Maintenance and Landscaping
The Grounds Maintenance
division maintains grassed areas, verges, flowerbeds, school grounds,
housing estates and general amenity areas with over 1,500 acres of grass
cut and cared for each month. The Embankment, Cemeteries and Priory
Country Park are some of the more specialised areas maintained by the
Division and have received awards for the high quality of their work.
Participation with local contractors through Partnering Initiatives
is also key to the Division’s level of effective service delivery.
Other specialist services include Allotment, Bowling Green and Sports
Pitch maintenance, Playground inspections and repairs.
The Grounds Maintenance team take pride in their service, whether it’s
the grass on the verge outside your house or the lines on the football
pitch in the park on Saturday afternoon you can be sure of a professional
job.
