About DSD Contracting

DSD Contracting (Direct Services Department) is the contracting division of Bedford Borough Council. They have been providing a full range of services since 1988 to local residents and businesses. Since their formation they have grown steadily and now employ over 400 staff with a range of skills.

DSD Contracting has service level agreements to carry out works on behalf of the council for local residents. Services that DSD Contracting provide include; refuse and recycling collections, maintenance of the Embankments and parks, street lighting, pest control, street cleansing, graffiti removal, drainage and winter gritting to name a few.
